Having had the good luck to travel pretty extensively around Europe I thought it would be a great idea to create a little travel guide of some of the greatest places to visit in Europe for anyone looking to travel there this summer.
Of course, like me, you probably want to travel everywhere! If you’re trying to decide on one or a couple of destinations for your trip, though, below we’ve compiled some handy info on some of our favourite cities. First of all, decide on what kind of holiday you’re looking for, as the climate can vary greatly between the north and south of Europe, so be sure to keep this in mind if you were hoping for some sun.
London
Home to some of the most popular tourist locations on the planet, London has plenty to offer anyone. With landmarks including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and St Paul’s cathedral to set your backdrop, you’ll find plenty of ways to spend your time in London. The capital of England is also fantastic for night life, shopping, museums, art galleries, and so much more.
Paris
Paris has to be one of the most romantic destinations… Anywhere! Home to the Louvre museum, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and some of the continents most spectacular architecture and art collections to be found anywhere on earth.
Barcelona
I visited Barcelona last summer and had the most wonderful time! The people are charming and friendly, the food is incredible, and the city offers everything you could ever want, plus it has beautiful beaches within 15 minutes on the underground. Be sure to spend some time around the Gothic quarter, and the Park Guel with major artwork and architecture from Antoni Gaudi is a must see for everyone!
